In Windows XP, the Video Editing Software Freeware is available in the form of windows movie maker. I had a lot of home video collection and wanted to make a movie of the videos using the movie maker Video Editing Software Freeware. I first imported all the home videos in to the movie maker slide line or time line and inserted them in the sequence that I preferred. The next step is that I used Video Editing Software Freeware to mute all the sounds of the videos. The most time taking aspect is finding the appropriate audio for the video and I downloaded the respective audio songs from various sources including internet, friend's computer etc and finally after finalizing all the songs, I inserted the audio clips in the corresponding video using the movie maker Video Editing Software Freeware. Then I started making the movie by saving the project and then saving the movie file in the video avi format. It took nearly 2 hours to render a movie of 40 minutes and the output also was scrambled a bit with an overlap in the audio and video parts of the movie. This might be a problem with the Video Editing Software Freeware and then after that I split the movie in to 10 minute duration and made a lot of movies. The next major aspect was to make it compatible to be played in the ordinary DVD player to view the movie in the TV. To do so, I downloaded the AVS Video Editing Software Freeware to convert the video format from avi to DVD format. This is the most time consuming part in the entire process and took nearly around 8 hours to convert to NTSC format that is compatible in the ordinary DVD player. The movie duration was 3 hours and the actual file size in avi format was just 1 GB and when the movie was converted to DVD format, the file size went to 8 GB and required 2 DVD discs to be burnt. The Video Editing Software Freeware was very helpful in making the movie and playing it in the ordinary DVD player. All these tasks took nearly 2 days to finalize and this is a lot of time and there are a lot of Video Editing Software Freeware that is available in the internet and can be downloaded and installed in the computer and the video can be edited and finalized according to your choice.
