Our department was conducting the national level symposium and cultural programs form the concluding part of any symposium and the night gets in to a party atmosphere with dance and songs. On the behalf of our department, we planned to dance for a song. Then dancing for a single song will be boring and hence we decided to dance for certain music files that are cut from the specific songs.

I used VCD cutter as the wav editing software to cut the song files. As a first step, the friends sat together and decided on the various songs and music that are to be danced. Then these songs were collected from the various systems in the Hostel and finally all the songs were put in a folder and then we started deciding the sequence of songs that are to be cut.

Then I inserted each song in the VCD cutter wav editing software and cut the necessary parts and saved it as separate files and the cut songs were present in the software directory and then I moved the files from the VCD cutter directory to the desk top and then inserted all the files in to the VCD cutter wav editing software and arranged them in sequence. Before this, each wave file was played and checked for quality. The quality was perfect and then the dancers decided the sequence in which the music files must be inserted and then intimated the sequence of the music files.

According to the sequence, the music files are arranged accordingly in the VCD cutter wav editing software and the clips are joined together and the music files are made in to a single file and the dancers practiced for this single music file and the same file was put in the cultural program and the dancers rocked the stage and the audience were dancing their heart out outside and the music files were excellent and all are peppy numbers requiring high energy levels to dance each step. The dancers had practiced their dance steps very well and performed excellently in the stage and won the first prize in the cultural program mainly because of song selection.

The dancers called me on stage and told that I was responsible for mixing the music and we all shared the cup together and it was a great recognition for me in the entire college and I will remember this moment for the entire of my life.
